About Us
The Robert H. Ivy Society of Plastic Surgeons was formed in 1954 to:

  • promote and further medical and surgical research pertaining to Plastic, Aesthetic and Reconstructive Surgery;

  • keep the Medical Profession informed of scientific progress in Plastic, Aesthetic and Reconstructive Surgery;

  • provide a medium for the exchange of information, ideas and knowledge relating to the art, science and development of Plastic, Aesthetic and Reconstructive Surgery;

  • stress the social, economic and psychological importance of this surgical specialty;

  • insure the continued high standard of clinical practice which has been established by our predecessors; and

  • promote and encourage the highest standards of ethical conduct among Plastic Surgeons consistent with the Code of Ethics of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, Inc.
